DairyTop Fit Extra

Diarrhea is one of the greatest threats to calves during their first weeks of life. It causes a significant loss of electrolytes and water, leading to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, acidosis, and a negative energy balance.

Dairytop Fit Extra is a dietetic feed that provides calves with essential nutrients during diarrhea problems. The product contains electrolytes, sugars, and buffers to restore the water-electrolyte balance and provide energy. Its gel-forming properties reduce passage speed and protect the intestinal wall.

Application:

For mild diarrhea, continue feeding (artificial) milk with 25 g of Dairytop Extra added per liter. Alternatively, prepare a solution with 50 g of Dairytop Extra per liter of water and administer this between milk feedings.

In more severe cases of diarrhea, skip one or two milk feedings and instead provide an electrolyte solution with 50 g of Dairytop Fit Extra per liter ad libitum. Gradually transition back to milk by feeding 1.5–2 liters of milk with 25 g of Dairytop Fit Extra per liter three times a day.

Dietetic complementary feed for calves up to 6 months of age to stabilize the water and electrolyte balance and support physiological digestion.
